Karen Lewis Associates, Inc. (KLA) was incorporated in January 1997 by Karen Lewis, President and "Chief Listener". Prior to founding KLA, Karen had worked in the contract furniture industry for 23 years. She began her furniture career with Herman Miller, Inc. in 1978 and has worked just about every aspect of the industry: administration, training, architectural/design, sales, marketing, "preowned" furniture sales and furniture liquidation.

Her involvement in all disciplines of the industry fostered the creation of KLA where she focuses on each aspect of a client's office move as it relates to furniture. She is virtually a "one stop shop" from liquidating the old furniture to space planning the new space and procuring all the furniture-whether new or used.

Karen is a true believer in recycling and tries whenever possible to refurbish existing furniture rather than buying new. She is, however, a realist and understands that blending new and used furniture sometimes is the best solution for her clients.

Karen has a masters degree in education from San Jose State University and though she is not teaching in a classroom, she believes in educating her clients to be smart consumers by blending preowned and new furniture for the best value.
